Under 17 Camp going well

Sports Page — Coach of the Leeward Islands under 17 team Steve Liburd, revealed earlier this week that the under 17 Leeward islands training camp is going exceptionally well.

He noted that during the first day or two of the camp, it was obvious that the players are gelling well together.

He indicated that the squad is camping at the Cotton Ground community center and noted that the accommodation there is excellent.

He also took time out to especially congratulate the cook who he said was doing an exceptional job.

The team has spent quite some time engaged in fielding drills and the reason for that noted Liburd is the fact that one run out or one catch at a critical point in any game, can turn the game in the favour of the fielding team.

He was hoping to get in a few practice matches before the camp concludes on the 6th of July.

He stated that the squad should be reduced by Friday 3rd July as the selectors will be having a close look at the players during the camp.

The full training squad is as follows:

Jerrilius Louis-St.Kitts; Tishaun Francis-St.Kitts; Marcus Dubbery-Nevis; Javonnie Tyson-Nevis; N’Cosie George-Nevis; Kian Pemberton –Nevis; Dimitri Adams-Anguilla; Demar Prince-Anguilla; Jacob Pearls-Anguilla; Keshawn Richardson-Anguilla; Michael Lewis-St.Maarten; Kerry Gokarran-Anguilla; Jemuel Cabey-Montserrat; Joshua Grant-Montserrat; Zawandi White-Montserrat; Javier Spencer-Antigua; Kadeem Henry-Antigua; Tassilo Allen –Antigua.
