UPDATE: Homicide in Old Road

(ZIZ News) — The police are investigating a homicide in Old Road that occurred on Wednesday morning.

Sources indicate that this was the escalation of a domestic dispute.

New information indicates that the victim was Samantha Peniston, said to be in her late twenties, and from St. Vincent.

Reports indicate that her male partner, Cleveland Lee, 42 also of St. Vincent allegedly stabbed her several times around 6:15 am.

He then reportedly turned himself in at the Old Road Police Station just before nine am.

Sources said Lee apparently tried to commit suicide by stabbing himself and drinking some sort of poison.

Lee is currently at the JNF Hospital under police guard.

Investigations are ongoing.
