Vending on sidewalks not allowed in Basseterre

ZIZ News…April 10, 2012 — The Department of Physical Planning and Environment is informing the general public that vending is not permitted on the sidewalks in Basseterre without the written consent of the Development Control and Planning Board (DCPB.)

In a notice aired on ZIZ Radio it read, as such, all unauthorized vendors have seven (7) working days to remove all tables, tents or any other equipment from the sidewalks in Basseterre.

According to an official of the planning board, in order for sidewalk vendors to continue in the mentioned area, the appropriate inter-departmental approval must be obtained from Physical Planning and Environment or the Development Control and Planning Board.
