VI Police Department assists in search for missing boy

ZIZ News…May 23, 2012 — As the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force intensifies the search for Dylon Clarke the Virgin Islands police have been brought in to help.

Three VI Police Officers from conducted search operations in Nevis for Dylon Clarke.

Officer Viveros and Samuel along with Canine Officer Hasan were on the ground for a 2-day search operation.

This search operation came as a result of partnerships between St. Christopher and Nevis’ Commissioner C. G. Walwyn and VI Commissioner of Police Henry White Jr.

Deputy Commissioner Stafford Liburd issued special thanks to the VI Police Department emphasizing the importance of partnerships in crime fighting.

“The cooperation and collaboration is indeed important in law enforcement. We have had it with British Territories, OECS and other Caribbean islands but it is also encouraging to see it developing with the USVI and US territories.” he said.

Public Relations Officer Sergeant Stephen Hector says the search continues. He urges the public to provide police with any information that can help in the search.

“We are still hopeful that Dylon Clarke can be found.” Sergeant Hector stated.

Dylon Clarke was last seen on Saturday April 29 at approx. 6pm wearing a yellow polo shirt, a pair of jean shorts and Nike black and white sandals.
