Visiting musicians to play at ‘A Taste Of Nevis Jump Up’

CHARLESTOWN, Nevis, February 20, 2013 — A live band, Jack and the Rivers comprised of visiting musicians and local musicians among them Snowflakes, will play tomorrow night (Thursday) at a fundraising event, the “A Taste of Nevis Jump Up” organized by ARK, The Nevis Humane Society.

The event will be held at Crishi Beach.

The fund raiser is ARK’s major capital fundraising drive to solicit significant donations and pledges from well wishers to match funds pledged by ARK towards the purchase of much needed diagnostic and medical equipment and supplies to expand and upgrade the Nevis Prospect Veterinary Clinic.

The entry fees which will be paid at the door is EC$50 per person and EC$75 per couple.

The Nevis Humane Society (ARK) is a non-profit organisation of volunteers which works on behalf of the protection and welfare of all animals on the island of Nevis. Founded in October 1998, the Society raises funds to provide medical and nutritional assistance to injured, abandoned, orphaned and sick animals among them cats, dogs, sheep, donkeys, horses and cows to undertake spaying and neutering of cats and dogs in collaboration with the Nevis Prospect Veterinary Clinic and to promote education among children of all ages on the proper treatment and care of animal and domestic pets.
