Water Department Work On Wellington Road

Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 24, 2020 (ZIZ News):The Water Services Department is undertaking work in the Wellington Road area in preparation for the road work that is expected to begin shortly.

ZIZ News spoke with Assistant Water Engineer at the Water Services Department Ryan Phillip who explained what is taking place.

“In preparation for the resurfacing that will be done by Surrey Paving as part of the Island Main Road Rehabilitation Project, the Water Services Department is currently undertaking replacement and upgrade work in the Wellington Road area in Needsmust. As a result consumers in the Wellington Road Area may experience interruptions in the water supply and there will be increased traffic congestion in nearby areas.”

Mr Phillip said beginning on Friday there will be disruptions in the water supply for consumers in the area below the Water Services Department, including Flow and SKELEC until the work is complete.
