Weekend arrests; Break-in at DuPont’s Jewellery store

Police are investigating a report of building breaking and larceny at Dupont’s Jewellery Store situated at the Pelican Mall, Bay Road, Basseterre.

According to a police press release the incident took place sometime between 26th and 27th July 2012.

Initial investigation revealed that the criminal or criminals broke into the premises and stole a large quantity of jewellery.

Anyone with any helpful information regarding this matter is asked to contact the cid at 465 2241 ext. 220 or 230 or the nearest police station.

Meanwhile, the police force made a number of arrests over the weekend ranging from threatening language and assault to murder.

Alexis Decosta St. Clair Elliot

Javon Sutton of Durant Avenue was charged for possession of cannabis and possession of cannabis with intent to supply, committed on 25th July 2012.

Raymond Rawlins of Malone Avenue was charged for forgery, committed on 21st May 2012.

Alexis Decosta of Sandy Point/ Lower Shaw Avenue was charged for larceny, committed on 28 July 2012.

And finally as previously reported, St. Clair Elliot of Newton Ground was charged for murder of Chelston Mills of Newton Ground, committed on 25th July 2012 at Newton Ground.
