West Indies End Tour of Sri Lanka with a T20 Win

(ZIZ News) – The West Indies Cricket Team picked up a win in the second and final Twenty20 International, to end what had become a disheartening tour of Sri Lanka, on a positive note.

West Indies, winning the toss and batting, reached 162 for six off 20 overs at the R Premadasa Stadium.

Leading the way for the Caribbean side were Denesh Ramdin, who ended on 34 not out, Johnson Charles with 34, and Dwayne Bravo on 31.

On the other side of the ball, Bravo collected four wickets while Ravi Rampaul claimed three, as the West Indies Team was able to restrict Sri Lanka for a 23-run victory.

It was the first win for the West Indies during the Sri Lanka tour which included two tests and three One Day Internationals.

The team’s next challenge is a three-match test series against Australia, starting later this month.
