Winfes’ Race Meet definitely on

(Sports Page) — CJ Bartlette of the Nevis Drag Race Office has indicated that the now annual WINFES’ Drag race meet is well and truly on.

The race meet will be held at the St.James’ Raceway, this coming weekend, Saturday June 7th and Sunday June 8th.

Participating islands include: Montserrat; Antigua; Anguilla, St.Kitts and host island, Nevis.

In terms of entertainment, the expected huge crowd will be have the privilege of seeing the renowned ODDYSEY band live and in living colour, along with a popular DJ.

Bartlette also indicated that there will lots of food and drink available from the vendors.

Adults will pay $20.00 and children $10.00.

Bartlette had an urgent plea for the individuals attending the event: “Please be safe. We don’t want any more incidents or accidents. Take note that the Police will be putting some speed traps in place…so please, please drive carefully and within the speed limits and let us all have a great time,’ he said.
