Winter weary Bostonians invited to ‘Feel the warmth in St. Kitts and Nevis’

St. Kitts (February 21, 2011) – The promise by representatives of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority and the Nevis Tourism Authority that potential travelers could “Feel the Warmth in St Kitts &Nevis” was a big hit among the 20,564 consumers and 2,143 trade at the Boston Globe Travel Show this past weekend.

Denise Zimber and Jacynth Hendrickson of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority and Yvette Jackman from the Nevis Tourism Authority represented the Federation at this prestigious three-day event offering Show Specials from participating hotels plus Dive and Romance packages and information. Tour Operator Specials were offered by Travel Impressions and GoGo, with travel agent hotel specials, paired with American Airlines’ special agent rates, also available at the booth.

“I am delighted with the level of participation we had from the public sector on both islands, as we took the St. Kitts & Nevis message to this very important geographic market,” said Rosecita Jeffers, CEO of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority.

“The enthusiastic interest in the destination demonstrated by the consumers and trade from the greater Boston area gives me a sense of optimism about travel in 2011,” she concluded.

Participating hotels from Nevis were: Nelson Spring Beach Villa & Spa and Ouali Beach Hotel. Participating hotels from St. Kitts were: Bird Rock Beach Hotel, Ocean Terrace Inn, Ottley’s Plantation Inn St. Kitts Marriott Resort and Royal Beach Casino and Sugar Bay Club.
