Women In Politics Training

Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 3, 2020 (ZIZ News): Local entrepreneur Desi Browne is one of four women from St. Kitts and Nevis who have graduated from the U.S. Embassy’s Women in Politics Leadership Institute.

The training sessions were held virtually and according to Miss Browne the aim was foster an increase in the number of women in politics.

She described the sessions as eye-opening and impactful.

Miss Browne went on to encourage more women to get involved in politics because only through participation can their voices be heard and their issues be addressed.

The other participating nationals were Joy Napier, Mervil Nisbett, and Siobhan Phipps. A total of 27 young women from across the region took place in the sessions which ran from July 29 to Aug 26.
