Yejide Parry officially launch Bac-2-my-ROOTS
CHARLESTOWN, Nevis, June 12, 2013 — Yejide Parry, who believes in the preservation and heritage of indigenous knowledge will officially launch Bac-2-my-ROOTS at her new location opposite Jewish cemetery on Government Road(Between Yvonnes and ERMS) on Friday, June 21st and Saturday, June 22nd, 2013 from 9.00 a.m to 7.00 p.m on both days.
Yejide will conduct demonstrations and educational sessions on uses and benefits of natural products she has made from local raw materials. There will also be special discounts on products and services she offers. “It is Black History everyday at Bac-2-my-ROOTS. Going Bac-2-my-ROOTS means going back to your roots, learning from the past and bringing back ancient remedies and techniques to be able to take care of the body naturally in a holistic way.”
On her service menu will be Massages, Herbal Facials, Manicures, Pedicures, Dread locs and Natural Hair Care, Designer Wear and Souvenir items. “I am now going to another level to include massages, herbal facials, manicures, pedicures and the Roots Juice Bar.” Yejide already exports her products to Antigua, St. Maarten and Barbados.
Although she loves the serene atmosphere of her Hamilton residence, she is happy to come to town. “More people will connect with me in town. It allows for easy access and direct interactions with people who are in town on business, running errands or working. People can walk in and learn about the rich Nevisian heritage with an African twist. Black History should be celebrated daily. It is a way of life,” Yejide said.
During the launch themed, “We Rock It Natural”, she will showcase a new line of jewellery dubbed ROOTS, made of local materials such as coconut shells, mahogany pieces, local seeds etc. There will be a display of massage oils, shampoos, hair oils, lotions and more, as well as a selected few of the herbs that she uses to make these wonderful creations and a sneak peek of her new summer line of clothing under her Jambi designs.
Also being featured during the launch is her authentic ROOTS Juice bar where she will offer delicious local fruit and vegetable juices, healthy wholesome snacks, herbal teas and smoothies.
