Young woman shot in Newtown
ZIZ NEWSROOM, BASSETERRE, July 22, 2011 – A young woman is nursing a gunshot injury she received Thursday night at Catherine Julius Street, in Ponds Pasture.
According to police reports, 20 year old Latisha Joshua was shot at 7:25pm in her right arm by an unmasked gunman while talking to a friend.
Joshua was rushed to the general hospital where she received emergency medical treatment for her injury.
Officers from the Special Services Unit and the Criminal Investigation Department processed the crime scene for evidence.
No suspect is in custody as yet. Investigations are ongoing.
