The youth of Mcknight came together on Saturday in an effort to give back to the community.
The youth team of the garden hotspurs assisted by coaches and other officials spent the day painting sections of the Irishtown Primary School.
According to club’s public relations officer Hollis Prentice it is part of the mandate of each football club to give back to the community.
OTI lent assistance by sponsoring the purchase of the paint supplies.
Coach for Irishtown Primary Jermin Gaskin thanked OTI General Manager for supporting this initiative which tries to encourage positive activities among the youth.
Also taking part in the event was parliamentary representative for Constituency #2 the Hon. Marcella Liburd.
Future community activities planned include tree planting exercises and the cleaning up of abandoned spaces in the area.
