Martinique has become the latest Caribbean island to report the Zika Virus (ZIKV), according to the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).
In its latest epidemiological report, for the week of December 20 to 26, PAHO added Martinique as well as the French overseas territory of Guiana to the list of countries where there have been confirmed cases of the mosquito-borne virus.
It did not give any details about the number of cases or status of the patients.
