ZIZ Celebrates 55 Years

(ZIZ News) — Listeners from across the country and around the world have been celebrating with ZIZ Radio as the station marks its 55th anniversary.

Throughout Saturday’s programming listeners were given a chance to win prizes donated by various businesses.

And while much attention has been placed on ZIZ’s 55-year history, Chairman of the Board, Douglas Wattley outlined ZIZ’s plans for the future.

“We have a new board in place. We have been installed since last year and our vision is simply, “We Make A Difference, We Make A Memorable Difference” to be exact. We intend to do our endeavored best to make a difference in the lives of our employees, in the lives of our audience, in the lives of the businesses that do business with us. We intend to be a difference on the landscape in St. Kitts and Nevis and I think we are off to a pretty good start. And so invariably I believe that we can easily make another 55 years”, Wattley said.

As part of the celebrations the staff of ZIZ Broadcasting Corporation will join the congregation of the Antioch Baptist Church on Sunday 6th of March, who are celebrating their anniversary on that day.

ZIZ Radio was officially launched on the 5th of March, 1961.
