ZIZ DJs mix with the public on the eve of the 50th Anniversary

ZIZ News…March 5, 2011 – As ZIZ Radio continues to celebrate fifty years of broadcasting, the people of St. Kitts got a chance to interact with some of the Radio DJs during an event in front of the BCA on Friday afternoon.
Members of the public got an opportunity to win goodie bags and gift certificates compliments ZIZ Radio while one lady who was born on the same day when ZIZ Radio was officially opened received gifts as well.
As part of the activity three of the calypsonians who will be taking part in the ZIZ Calypso show, Lord Kut, Quantash and LaLa along with Calypso Reggie performed their tunes much to the delight of the crowd.
Meanwhile Lawyer Agatha Andries who is a regular contributor to the Morning Praise Program on ZIZ Radio presented a framed poem to the Radio Manager Alvah Bradly as a token of appreciation for the excellent services provided by ZIZ over the past fifty years.
Many persons met with the radio Announcers and extended their personal congratulations to them on attaining this significant milestone in the history of broadcasting in St. Kitts and Nevis.
Later today former staff members and other members of the pubic are invited to come to ZIZ Radio studio and interact with the present staff as we mark this significant milestone. The programming today will also feature short messages from former staff members, the reading of the list of past staff members and a short program on those who have gone to the great beyond.
An address to mark the occasion will also be delivered by the Minister of Information the Hon. Nigel Carty and Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. RA Peter Jenkins.
