ZIZ Song Competition participants dine at Frigate Bay Beach Hotel

ZIZ News…May 22, 2011 – It was a special night out for the contestants in the ZIZ Song Competition on Saturday as they dined at the Frigate Bay Beach Hotel one week before they sing their hearts out at Carnival Village, Warner Park.

The dinner ended weeks of training in various aspects of every day life such as, How to conduct yourself at a dinner, Money Management, Copy Rights Laws, Interviewing Techniques and knowledge of the Entertainment Industry.

Special guest at the dinner was Chairman of the Music Festival Committee Mr. Faron Lawrence who encouraged the contestants to be the best a what ever they do and continue to put in the hard work if they want to reach to the top. Lawrence told them he heard some of their songs and he is vey impressed with the standard of music and the Music Festival is all about bringing local talent to the fore.

Remarks were also made by the Chairman of ZIZ Broadcasting Corporation Mr. RA Peter Jenkins and General Manager (ag) Mr. Viere Galloway.

One of the highlights of the evening was the draw for positions on Saturday night conducted by Jasmine Thomas, Chairperson of the 50th Anniversary Song Competition Committee and Chairman of the proceedings Kinny Kupid James of ZIZ Radio.

Mr. Valentine Henry CEO of Myvue.com who is a member of the 50th Anniversary Committee also interacted and gave words of advice and encouragement to the competitors in the ZIZ 50th Anniversary Song Competition.

Tickets for the show which takes place on Saturday May 28 at Carnival Village are now on sale at the BCA Outlet on Central Street and at ZIZ Radio during normal working hours.
