(ZIZ)– ZIZ television will air the first of an exclusive two part interview with Deputy Premier of Nevis and Leader of the Opposition in Federal Parliament, Hon. Mark Brantley Tuesday 29th July, at 8pm.
During the recent conversation with ZIZ’s Senior News Editor, Eboni Brandon, Mr. Brantley addressed a myriad of issues including the controversial Nevis land deal, crime on Nevis, his views on secession and on team unity.
At the end of the discussion, Mr. Brantley commended ZIZ Broadcasting Corporation for reaching out to him as Leader of the Opposition and offering him the opportunity to share his views.
He referred to the interview as an important step in building a better St. Kitts and Nevis.
“I’m just grateful, I think this is the very first time that ZIZ has interviewed me and so I am very thankful that I’ve had an opportunity to speak with you and to address some of these issues. There’re so many other issues I’m sure that we can address but I feel that it’s a good start. I think that we need more of this, we need more openness. I think that it is good for democracy to see the Leader of the Opposition on our national television station. In Nevis we have done that, we have open up our television station, government owned, to the opposition. This is something we campaigned heavily on, we went to court over it indeed and were successful in the court and so these are some of the initiatives, the small steps perhaps but important initiatives as we try to shape a better St. Kitts and Nevis.”
The interview will be aired on ZIZ Television (Channel 5) immediately after the 7pm nightly newscast.
