East Basseterre Resident Seek To Improve Literacy With The Launch Of A Book Club

Basseterre, St. Kitts, January 29 2021 (ZIZ News) East Basseterre Resident and Attorney at Law, Natasha Grey has embarked on an initiative to improve the literacy skills of the children in her community with the official launch of the East Basseterre Book Club.

In an interview with ZIZ news, Grey said the idea came to her through a conversation she had with teachers who said some children still have difficulty reading.

She said the club is aimed at children ages 4-16 years.

To officially launch the club, Grey said she will be hosting a launch event on Saturday 30th January at the Newtown Community Center.

She spoke about what persons can expect when they attend the launch.

She encourages especially the teens to take advantage of this initiative because it is an opportunity for them to enhance their reading skills.
