Washington Archibald High School celebrated its 20th anniversary with a Thanksgiving Service and Street March on Friday

Basseterre, St. Kitts, October 19, 2019 (ZIZ News): The Washington Archibald High School held a special Thanksgiving service to officially celebrate its 20th Anniversary at the Pro-Cathedral of St. George also known as the (St. George’s Anglican Church) on Friday October 18.

Students, teachers, faculty and staff were seen wearing their bright orange t shirts and ribbons as they participated in the special praise and worship.

Officials from the Ministry of Education, past students and principals joined in the celebration.

The ceremony was immediately followed by a march through the streets of Basseterre, that traveled up Victoria Road and then through the streets of Taylors.

The students were given the opportunity to dance and celebrate with chants and they bounced to the musical entertainment provided by Freedom Sounds.

The Washington Archibald High School will continue celebrating its 20th Anniversary during the 2019-2020 academic year under the theme: “Forging Ahead with Excellence and Stature; 20 More Years of Shaping our Nation’s Future”.
